Marble Maintenance Tips

1. Regular Sealing: Marble is porous and can be prone to staining. Apply a high-quality sealer regularly to protect the surface from spills and stains.

2. Immediate Cleanup: Wipe up spills promptly, especially acidic substances like lemon juice, vinegar, or wine, to prevent etching or staining.
3. Gentle Cleaning: Use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge to clean marble countertops regularly. Avoid harsh abrasives or acidic cleaners that can damage the surface.
4. Avoid Heat: While marble is heat-resistant, it’s best to use trivets or hot pads to protect the surface from hot pans or pots to prevent thermal shock.
5. Prevent Scratches: Use cutting boards and avoid dragging heavy or sharp objects across the marble surface to prevent scratches.
6. Avoid Standing Water: Marble is susceptible to water damage, so avoid leaving wet items or standing water on the countertop for extended periods.

7. Professional Maintenance: Periodically, consider hiring a professional to polish and reseal your marble countertops to maintain their beauty and durability

We were very pleased with the final result of our kitchen and bath project.  Philip was very easy to work with and listened to what we were specifically interested in doing. Our kitchen looks fabulous! Monica did a great job guiding through the process and helping with choices.  The team was professional,always on time and did a fantastic job. My family and I absolutely LOVE the work New Generation Kitchen and Bath did to our kitchen!! We had a slow leak that destroyed some of our cabinets we hired another company and had to fire them after about 3 months of no work being done.  We went with New Generation and it was amazing! We came to New Generation Kitchen & Bath after a little incident with our dishwasher caused flooding & damage in our home that needed to be repaired. We had planned to renovate eventually, but this sped up our timeline exponentially. Working with insurance was an absolute nightmare but NGK&B helped ease the frustration and made the process with them a BREEZE. We had some setbacks along the way and it took much longer than we'd hoped (insurances fault), I now have the kitchen of my dreams.... Allen, Anne, Sarah... and the two guys that were here working with Allen, are all superb! I wish I had caught their names!
